A lot of lawns look rough not because they lack care, but because the ground underneath was never set up right. Low spots, uneven grade, patchy turf - it all adds up. Before you can get a lawn that actually grows in thick and consistent, you have to deal with what's underneath first.
That's exactly what we did here. We touched up the grade to make sure the surface was level and would drain properly, then laid fresh sod across the front lawn. Getting the grade right before the sod goes down is a step a lot of people skip - and it's usually the reason a lawn stays uneven no matter how well you maintain it.
The sod itself is laid tight and flat, running clean from the sidewalk all the way up to the existing landscape beds. You can see how uniform the surface came out - no low spots, no lifted edges, no seams pulling apart. That kind of result comes from proper prep work, not just rolling out grass.
What we ended up with is a lawn that has a real foundation under it. The turf will establish roots into a firm, even base, which means it fills in faster and holds up better over time. It also just looks sharp right from the start - the kind of curb appeal that makes the whole property look intentional.
Sod work paired with solid grading is one of those investments that pays off quietly. You won't have to fight problem areas year after year. The lawn just works. If your yard has been limping along and you're ready to actually fix it rather than patch it, this is the kind of groundwork that makes that happen.
