Full Backyard Overhaul with Pavers, Retaining Walls, and Landscaping in Troy

This Troy homeowner had a backyard that wasn't doing much for them. The space had potential - a nice elevated deck, mature trees, solid square footage - but nothing down at ground level was pulling it together. No real flow. No defined planting areas. Just a lot of untapped space.

We came in with a full plan. Paver walkway, retaining walls, fresh plant and tree installation, landscape lighting, and work tied into the existing deck structure. The goal was to make every part of the yard feel intentional - like it was designed to work together instead of just coexisting.

The curved paver walkway was a big piece of this. It creates a natural path through the space and gives the yard a polished backbone. The retaining walls do double duty - they manage the grade change cleanly while framing out the planting beds in a way that looks sharp from every angle. Fresh mulch, new trees and shrubs, and landscape lighting round it all out and add that finished quality that makes a yard feel complete.

What we really like about this one is how livable it became. The deck was already there, but now there's actual space to move through the yard, defined areas for plants to grow into, and lighting that makes it usable after the sun goes down. It's the kind of upgrade that adds real value to a property - not just curb appeal, but genuine day-to-day function.
