Gunite Pool Coping and Tile Installation Done Right

This was a big one. Multiple gunite pools - including a lap pool and two smaller therapy or warm-up pools - all getting their coping and tile work wrapped up at the same time. It's the kind of job where the details really matter, because once the water goes in, everything is on display.

Coping is one of those things that people don't always think about until they see it done wrong. It's the cap that runs along the pool edge - it protects the shell, gives swimmers a clean edge to grab onto, and sets the whole visual tone of the finished pool. Getting it set level and tight all the way around takes patience. There's no shortcut that holds up long-term.

The tile work is where the design really comes together. Each pool got its own color scheme - deep red tile on the smaller pools, navy blue on the lap pool - all set in clean, consistent lines along the waterline and across the step faces. That kind of uniformity doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of careful layout work before a single tile gets set.
